The benefits of using technology in the classroom can be rewarding. We are in the era of television, computers, video games etc. Its hard being a teacher and having to compete with these things. So incorporating technology into our classroom can make us (teacher) keep up with what the students are into(television, computers, video games etc). As a teacher when ever I have the students use the computer in class is like they are a different person. They get all into it they help each other and they are able to maintain what they learn a little bit better. I try to incorporate technology in classroom every time but the challenges that come from this is that I do not have enough computers for my students to use, and another challenge is that the computers that I do have are really old.

Hey Daniel, I agree with you. In this current age, students play games and watch tv CONSTANTLY, so anything we can do to engage them in education in the same way is ESSENTIAL!
Thanks for the comments on my blog. My picture is a file I have saved on my computer. You can add a pic to your blog by going to your Dashboard, you'll see a "Manage" section in the center, click on "Layout", you'll see a place on the right that says "Picture". Click "Edit" and you can browse your computer for a picture you'd like to use. Your pirate pic was quite popular w/ your readers, so I definitely think you should make that your main pic.

I agree that just using computers engages students. When we can use them to bring out self directive, active learning using these new tools, then we've got something very powerful!
How might you use resources like Wikipedia in the classroom?
